![]() ![]() I didn't even pay for the international shipping. They shipped me for free a new switch, didn't even ask for any further info (just a picture of the broken part) and even included a couple stickers and a small TC Electronic strap thingy in the package. The good news is that I contacted TC Electronic's support trying to buy another switch from them and they provided one of the best customer services I've ever had in my life. As expected my spring broke (got irreparably bent to a point where it would no longer touch the internal button) after some time. Needless to say, that's an incredibly fragile and unreliable system. For that smooth activation, TC uses a mechanical switch that once you press it, a spring elongates and presses an actual button inside the pedal. My first problem was with the actual switch. I've heard similar stories about the whole TC Electronic pedal range as well. I love it but the truth is that it's the most fragile and less reliable pedal I've ever had. I recently had problems with my Ditto Looper as well. If it does not work properly with another power supply, you already attempted to carry out a firmware update so the last thing you have to do is to get in touch with the dealer you bought it from who can advise further and proceed to an exchange." Sometimes the issue may come from a faulty power supply. Please try to power up your Ditto with another power supply. "Sorry to hear about the issue you are having with your Ditto Looper. I cannot change this, pressing the switch doesnt change it, still cant record. Plugging it back in made the green LED come back which was good news, it could now be registered by my laptop and i performed the firmware update successfuly, however the light is now still flashing green. I unplugged it again to see if it would sort itself out. I unplugged it again from the power supply and back in, this is where the red light came back on but i still couldnt record, again signal was fine, still playing through the amp. I looked online but no one has had this problem, some sites suggested i try and reset the firmware by plugging it into my laptop but it wouldnt get recognised (the instructions say that you have to hold down the foot switch while plugging in a mini usb and the green light will come on to indicate its recognition). I unplugged the power supply from the looper to see if that would resolve it but the light would then not come back on, bearing in mind that i could still play with the pedal in my chain so it was still on. This just happened about 30mins ago so before that the looper was recording as usual and usage was normal, i have had the pedal for just over a year now.įirstly, the looper went from normal use to almost frozen on the red LED, indicating the record function, pressing the switch did nothing, it didnt change the colour nor function but it was still 'on' as my signal was not interupted. ![]() I have sent a request to TC Electronics but they are not responding. ![]()
